On the results of voting

in the republican referendum

In accordance with articles 31 and 33 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Republican Referendum" and on the basis of submitted protocols of territorial referendum commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital city on voting results, the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan RESOLVES:

1. To approve the results of voting of the republican referendum:

1) the total number of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan eligible to participate in the referendum - 11,734,642;

2) The number of citizens who took part in the voting - 7,985,769, or 68.05 percent;

3) the number of citizens who voted for a positive solution to the issue submitted to the referendum – 6,163,516 or 77.18 percent of those who took part in the vote;

4) The number of citizens who voted against the referendum question - 1,490,470;

5) The number of ballots declared invalid - 205,924;

6) in 17 regions, cities of national importance and the capital the citizens, who took part in the voting, voted for the positive solution of the issue.

2. To consider the referendum on the question "Do you accept the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, stated in the draft law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On making amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan", published in mass media on May 6, 2022, valid, since more than half of citizens entitled to participate in the referendum took part in the voting.

3. The law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On making amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan", submitted for the national referendum on June 5, 2022 shall be considered adopted, since more than half of the citizens, taking part in the voting, not less than two thirds of the oblasts, major cities and the capital city have voted for its adoption.

4. To approve the text of the official communication of the Central Referendum Commission on the results of the referendum according to the appendix and to publish the communication in the mass media.
