JOINT RESOLUTION AND ORDER

On the registration of citizens in the addresses of referendum precincts 

for the Republican referendum scheduled for 6 October 2024

In accordance with the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Republican Referendum”, with Articles 24, 25 and 26 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, subparagraph 20 of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and paragraph 1 of the Regulation concerning the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 12 July 2019 № 501, the Central Referendum Commission RESOLVED THAT, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan ORDER:

1. To approve the algorithm of registration of citizens on the addresses of referendum precincts for the Republican Referendum scheduled for 6 October 2024, according to the Annex to this Joint Resolution and Order. 

2. Local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the Capital jointly with the relevant territorial referendum commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the Capital shall determine the referendum polls for placement of employees of the non-profit joint-stock company “State Corporation “Government for Citizens” to carry out acceptance of citizens for registration, on the date until 18 September 2024 to submit the relevant information to the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. Министерству цифрового развития, инноваций и аэрокосмической промышленности Республики Казахстан совместно с некоммерческим акционерным обществом «Государственная корпорация «Правительство для граждан» (по согласованию) реализовать прием граждан для регистрации по адресам участков референдума.

3. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the non-profit joint-stock company “State Corporation ‘Government for Citizens’ (as agreed) to realize the reception of citizens for registration at the addresses of referendum polling stations.

4. Control over implementation of the present Joint resolution and Order shall be entrusted to the Deputy Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, overseeing Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

5. This Joint Resolution and Order shall come into effect from the day of the signing.
