Dear representatives of the mass media

On behalf of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I congratulate you on your professional holiday - Media Workers’ Day! 

In the context of large-scale transformations and the implementation of the provisions of the new Constitution, high-quality and objective journalism is gaining particular importance. It is the mass media that serve as an important link between the state and society, contribute to strengthening public dialogue, raising citizens’ legal awareness, and affirming national values such as the rule of law, justice, and a human-centered state. 

Representatives of the media community also play an invaluable role in ensuring the openness of electoral processes. During election campaigns, domestic media consistently demonstrate high professionalism, impartiality, and a responsible attitude toward their work, making a significant contribution to ensuring the transparency of the electoral process.

Today, in a period of rapid development of information technologies and an increasing volume of information, factual accuracy and impartial coverage of events are more important than ever. Citizens’ awareness, the culture of public dialogue, and the atmosphere of trust in society largely depend on these qualities.

I thank you for your principled approach, objectivity, and commitment to the high standards of the profession.
