The televised debates attended by the representatives of all seven political parties, the party lists of which were registered by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, First Deputy Chairperson of the People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan” Nurlan Nigmatullin, Chairperson of the Democratic Party of Kazakhstan “AKZHOL” Azat Peruashev, Chairperson of the All-National Social and Democratic Party “Auyl” Gani Kaliyev, First Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party “Adilet” Ualikhan Kaysarov, First Secretary of Almaty City Committee of Party, Member of the Central Committee of the Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan Guldana Nurpeyisova, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan Vladislav Kosarev.
The order of speeches by the representatives of political parties was determined in accordance with the sequence of registration of party lists by the CEC RK.
The TV debates were held in three rounds. The two first rounds were consisted of two parts.
In the first part of the first round the debates participants delivered their speeches on the subject titled “Economics is the basis for success”.
During the second part of the first round the debates participants exchanged questions and answers on the subject.
In the first part of the second round the debaters spoke on the subject titled “Development of Human Resources in Kazakhstan”.
In the second part of the second round the participants answered the TV presenters’ questions.
In the third round the representatives of political parties were given the opportunity to address the electorate.
In the course of the televised debates the representatives of political parties, within the time limit provided by the rules, outlined the election platforms of their parties, as well as addressed the electorate calling up to take part in the voting at the 15 January 2012 election.
The debates of the political parties contesting the election of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be on the air of the republican TV channel “Khabar” on 12 January 2012 at 9.30 p.m.
