On July, 30th 2007 was held the sitting of the Central election commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan where was admitted the Appeal to voters in order to encourage them to take an active part in the correction and update voter lists.
“We think that only when each voter is interested in coming to the polling station to check the data on him in voter lists before the Election Day the election commissions can ensure their maximum accuracy” – stressed the Head of the Central election commission.
Besides taking into account the recommendations of the Working group on consideration of the appeals of the citizens and public associations connected with extraordinary election of the deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament and regular election of the deputies of Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Central election commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan decided to insert amendments into its Decree from July, 20th 2007.
Particularly it was changed the list of the titles of political Parties included in electronic election bulletin for voting for political Parties on August, 18th 2007 in which it will be written not abbreviated but the whole titles of political Parties.
“We went along Parties in the meter and we are realizing today the recommendations of the Working group as in writing the abbreviations of the titles of political Parties in some cases lost their keywords to easily distinguish voters chosen by lot from the other” commented Kuandyk Turgankulov the decision of the Central election commission.
Besides this at the sitting of the Central election commission were inserted amendments into the staff of Southern Kazakhstan oblast election commission and also were accredited 49 more international observers.
