On July, 17th 2007 at 19.00 the Central election commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan registered party lists of three political Parties:
Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan – 20 persons;
Kazakhstan Patriots’ Party – 11 persons;
Kazakhstan Social and Democratic Party “Auyl” – 33 persons.
Because of not all of the candidates included in the party lists of “Rukhaniyat” Party and “AK ZHOL” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan submitted the necessary documents for registration the question of registration of the party lists of these Parties the Central election commission postponed to a later date as the official deadline for completion of the registration of party lists is 24.00 July, 17th 2007.
In all on party lists were promoted 400 candidates for the deputies of Mazhilis.
Among 400 promoted candidates: 339 men and 61 women. Middle age of the candidates is 55. 373 (96.6%) candidates have High education.
By profession: 89– engineers; 78– lawyers; 72– teachers; 61– economists.
By engagements: 80– businessmen; 47– deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 46– employees in public enterprises, institutions, organizations; 43– engaged in science, culture and education; 21– employees of the central bodies and ministries.
From July, 18th 2007 political Parties of which party lists were registered by the Central election commission can start their electioneering.
In Kazakhstan continue to arrive observers of foreign states and international organizations.
On July, 17th by the Central election commission were accredited 39 more observers of ODIHR/OSCE Mission on observation at extraordinary parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also on July, 17th ends the promotion of candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the information submitted to the Central election commission by July, 16th 2007 were promoted 7459 candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats.
To oblast Maslikhats were promoted 1244 candidates, among them: for Maslikhat of Astana – 86 candidates and for Maslikhat of Almaty – 66 candidates; for regional Maslikhats – 4817 candidates; for city Maslikhats – 1398 candidates.
Among 7459 candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats registered 2843.
Among them: 405 candidates for the deputies of oblast, cities Astana and Almaty Maslikhats; 1986 candidates for the deputies of regional Maslikhats; 452 candidates for the deputies of city Maslikhats.
Registration of the candidates will last until July, 23d and electioneering will begin from July, 24th.
