Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Foos made a presentation at the conference «Kazakhstan Challenges: regional and global influence».
     
     On 24-26 October Kazakhstan delegation visited Washington D.C. (USA). Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Foos was a part of the delegation.
      The main purpose of the visit of Kazakhstan delegation led by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov to Washington was to inform the representatives of the US Chamber of Commerce about democratic development process in Kazakhstan.
     
     On 25 October Secretary Foos made a presentation at the conference “Kazakhstan Challenges: regional and global influence”. He informed conference participants about the reforms of electoral legislation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and developments in the Presidential Election campaign.
     
     Besides this, Secretary Foos took part in the meeting of Kazakhstan delegation with the representatives of the National Democratic Institute, International Foundation for Election Systems, Carnegie Foundation and the the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Elsey Hastings.
     The exchange of ideas about the issues related to election process in Kazakhstan also took place in the offices of «Washington Post» and «Washington Times» newspapers.
