Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission K. Petrov holds training workshop for members of election commissions of Aktobe Oblast

On May 18, a workshop was held in Aktobe for members of election commissions of Aktobe Oblast and other participants in the electoral process.

All districts of the oblast took part in the video conferencing meeting.

Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission K. Petrov focused attention of the workshop participants on changes in the election legislation, the main stages of the ongoing election campaign, openness and publicity in the activities of all election commissions, strict compliance with the requirements of the current legislation.

Head of Akim's Office of Aktobe Oblast N. Kalauov reported on the measures taken for the material and technical equipment of the polling stations, including the provision of conditions for persons with disabilities. In order to clarify the inclusion in the list and for effective search for their polling stations, voters are provided with Call-centers, referral services (hotlines) and the Internet service http://aktobe.gov.kz. For the convenience of residents of the city of Aktobe, a telegram bot @AktKzBot has been launched, and the Internet service http://akt.gov.kz/ru has been created.

Chairperson of the Oblast Election Commission G. Kunbayeva informed about the work done by election commissions in accordance with the powers stipulated by the legislation, as well as about the training for members of precinct election commissions, and the preparation of polling stations for the day of voting.

Head of the Department for the Organization of the Electoral Process of the Central Election Commission, D. Iskakov, dwelled in detail on the activities of precinct election commissions, both during the preparation stage and on the election day.

A training film, prepared by the CEC, on the work of election commissions on the election day was demonstrated.

There were an active exchange of views and a discussion on the organization of work of election commissions.

Representative of the campaign office of the “Ult Tagdyry” United National Patriotic Movement, A. Italiyev, and A. Kudeyev, representing the Amanat civil platform for monitoring the election, positively evaluated the approach of the Central Election Commission to the training of the electoral process participants.
