Information statement

On August 12, 2020, in all the regions of the country, as well as in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, there will be held the elections of 17 deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Deputies of the Senate of the Parliament are elected by electors - citizens of the Republic who are deputies of Maslikhats, based on the indirect electoral law by secret ballot.

Elections of deputies of the Senate are held at joint meetings of electors, which will begin at 11.00 a.m. (capital time) in all the regions of the country.

There are 46 candidates who apply for 17 seats in the Senate of the Parliament.

The list of electors within the republic includes 3069 Maslikhat deputies.

On the election day there will be functioning the on-line observation services on the Central Election Commission's website:

- registration of electors (10.00-11.00 by capital time);

- summarizing the preliminary results of voting.
