Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Konstantin Petrov gave a lecture at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On August 18, 2020 the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Konstantin Petrov delivered an online lecture as part of the advanced training courses for employees of the prosecutor's office "Electoral Law and Features of Consideration of Electoral Disputes" arranged by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the training there were considered the organizational and legal features of the election of deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The attention of listeners is focused on the fact that the upcoming elections to Maslikhats for the first time will be held according to a proportional electoral system. The lecturer touched upon the issues of retrospective practice of its implementation, including law enforcement.
Mr. Dauren Iskakov, the Head of Unit for the Election Process Organization of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also spoke on the topic "Legal responsibility of the subjects of the electoral process".
The interactive format on the Microsoft Teams training platform made it possible for over a hundred prosecutors from all regions of the country to take part in the discussion of electoral issues.
