Approved the list of observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan sent to the elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 4, 2020
On September 30, 2020 by a resolution of the Central Election Commission there were approved the candidacies of observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan, who will take part in observing the elections in the Kyrgyz Republic.
22 representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in the observation of the elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, two of them were invited by the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, nineteen are being the part of the CIS Observer Mission, one as part of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States Mission.
The representatives of state bodies, territorial election commissions, as well as non-governmental organizations will take part in the CIS Observer Mission.
It should be noted that representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan will carry out monitoring in Bishkek, as well as in Naryn, Talass, and Chui regions.
Elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic will be held on October 4.
The Jogorku Kenesh is a unicameral parliament of Kyrgyzstan consisting of 120 deputies and it is the legislative body of the state. The Jogorku Kenesh is elected for a five-year term by the proportional system. According to the election results, one political party can be granted no more than 65 seats in parliament.
