Central Election Commission held a briefing for the diplomatic corps

On December 14, 2020, a briefing of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Kazakhstan was held. It was dedicated to the election of deputies to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The briefing was attended by representatives of foreign states from the near and far abroad, the European Union, the OSCE Programme Office in Nur-Sultan.

The event was held in strict observance of social distance and sanitary standards established by authorized bodies in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission Berik Imashev thanked representatives of the diplomatic corps for their interest in the election process in the Republic of Kazakhstan and noted that representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan are always actively involved in observing elections in Kazakhstan.

Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Konstantin Petrov in his speech informed representatives of the diplomatic corps about the course of the election campaign for the election of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the briefing, members of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan answered all questions from heads and representatives of diplomatic missions.
