Meeting of Central Election Commission with the delegation of Turkic Council was held

On January 8, 2021, a meeting of members of the CEC with representatives of delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries was held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, Chairman of the CEC Berik Imashev briefed TURKPA delegation on preparation process for the regular elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for January 10, 2021.

The head of the delegation of TURKPA briefly spoke about the organization, its mission and composition. The head of TURKPA delegation noted active work carried out by the Central Election Commission and wished success in the upcoming elections.

Recall that TURKPA was established on November 21, 2008 on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev. The headquarters is located in the city of Baku. Members of international organization are Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
