Meeting of members of the Central Election Commission

of the Republic of Kazakhstan with representatives of the

central electoral bodies of foreign states

On January 9, 2021, meeting of members of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan with representatives of central electoral bodies of foreign states was held.

Representatives from 11 central electoral bodies of foreign states came to observe the holding of regular elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Armenia, Moldova, Russian Federation, Turkey, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania and the Philippines.

In his welcoming speech, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Imashev expressed gratitude to the participants of the meeting for taking part in observing the current election campaign of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He also stressed that the meeting is a kind of meeting of experts in the field of preparation and holding of elections, since each of the participants in today's meeting held or took part in this important political event for their country.

Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Konstantin Petrov made a report on the preparation of the election campaign. He spoke about the peculiarities of the current election campaign, its stages and preparations for the election day.

Following the meeting, briefing with representatives of the media was held.
