Election commissions of Kazakhstan participate in the A-WEB training program

From 13 to 22 April 2021, representatives of the electoral system are taking part in Phase 1 of the Election Management Capacity Building Program: Strengthening Voter Education, organized by the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) Secretariat in South Korea. The training course is aiming at assisting in improving the professional level of election organizers and exploring ways to solve the problems of education of electoral culture and legal education.

The program is intended to develop strategies and steps for the planning and implementation of voter education activities, to facilitate the development of effective voter education programs, taking into account the context of each country. In the first step, participants analyzed the experience of other countries and the main elements that need to be considered when developing voter education programs.

Representatives of electoral bodies from different countries took part in the program. The Kazakhstani team is represented by an employee of the department of organization of electoral training and analytics of the Central Election Comission, secretaries of the Territorial election commissions of Atyrau, Pavlodar regions and the city of Nur-Sultan.

The second phase will take place from 17 to 26 August 2021, then participants get the opportunity to develop a country voter education program.
