The CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the work of the International round table "Pre-election campaigning through electronic resources" 

The International Round Table on the issue "Election Campaigning Through Electronic Resources" was held online on June 8, 2021 and was organized by International Institute for Monitoring Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism and Observance of the Electoral Rights of Citizens of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly together with the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Armenia.

Representatives of parliaments, central electoral bodies of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Uzbekistan as well as scientists and experts took part in the work of the International Round Table.   Galymzhan Zhalmurzayev, Deputy Head of the Department for Interaction with Media and Public Associations of the Central Election Commission participated as a representative from the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Issues of using electronic resources during elections in the Republic of Armenia as well as the legal regulation of pre-election campaigning, taking into account the practice of the participating States of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, were discussed during the round table.

Round table was concluded by participants with the notion of the relevance of increasing citizens' confidence in the electoral process, and practical measures that can be taken to regulate political campaigning in a digital environment.
