February 17-18 this year the Head of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov held a meeting with members of the precinct election commissions, elected akims and youth of the Kyzylorda region
On February 17 this year the Head of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov held a meeting as part of a working trip to the Kyzylorda region with members of precinct election commissions, elected akims and the population of rural districts of Syrdarya region.
During the meeting with members of precinct election commissions the Chairman of the CEC got acquainted with the course of the election campaign of akim of Terenozek village, methodological and organizational and technical support, readiness of polling stations and creation of necessary conditions for voters with disabilities. It should be also noted that issues of legal regulation of national observers activities were also discussed.
Following the meeting, he emphasized that the organization and conduct of election procedures on voting day should be carried out in strict accordance with requirements of the law.
An exchange of views took place during the meeting with elected akims and population of rural districts of the Syrdarya region on implementation of the institution of direct election of akims at the rural level. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission also got acquainted with the work done and the plans of akims to ensure life and develop settlements.
Also on that day, Member of the CEC Asylbek Smagulov and deputy head of the department for organizing electoral education Tusup Ryspekov held a training seminar for organizers of the region's elections.
On February 18 this year the Chairman of the Central Election Commission met with youth of the region at the Youth Resource Center of the Kyzylorda region.
Opening the meeting, he stressed that “youth is the country's future intelligentsia and an important component of the electorate. In this regard, the opinions and proposals of young voters on the widest range of issues of the electoral process are very important for us today.”
At the meeting, youth representatives have put forward a number of specific proposals for introduction of digital technologies in the electoral process, increasing electoral culture and youth activity in the upcoming elections.
The participants noted that such meetings, organized by the Central Election Commission, will become one of the effective mechanisms for increasing confidence of young voters in the elections, and young people support the establishment of such a dialogue.
