The list of observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan sent to the early presidential elections in Turkmenistan has been approved

On March 3, 2022 the candidacies of observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan sent to participate in the observation of the early elections of the President of Turkmenistan were approved by the decision of the Central Election Commission.

4 representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in observation of elections in Turkmenistan as part of the observer missions from the CIS and SCO.

Early presidential elections are scheduled for March 12, 2022. It should be noted that a citizen of Turkmenistan who was born in Turkmenistan, is not younger than forty years of age, speaks state language, has been permanently residing and working in Turkmenistan for the previous fifteen years, may be elected President of Turkmenistan. The President of Turkmenistan is elected directly by the people of Turkmenistan for a period of seven years and takes office from the moment he takes the oath.
