The CEC of Kazakhstan took part in international online observation program for presidential elections in South Korea

On March 9, 2022, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in an online observation program organized by the National Election Commission of the Republic of Korea using Zoom and YouTube platforms.

160 representatives of electoral bodies of 23 foreign states and international organizations took part in the online observation program.

Program participants were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the electoral system of the Republic of Korea, the voting process on Election Day (including early voting), the vote counting procedure and the use of technology during voting.

The presidential elections in the Republic of Korea took place on March 9, 2022. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Korea the President is elected by people on the basis of universal, equal, direct and secret suffrage. The term of office of the President is five years. The President cannot be re-elected.
