On April 22, 2022, the election of a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the Almaty region will take place instead of the retired one.

The deputy of the Senate is elected by electors - citizens of the Republic who are deputies of maslikhats, on the basis of indirect suffrage by secret ballot.

The elections will be held at a joint meeting of the electors, which will begin at 11.00 am (capital time).

2 candidates are applying for the mandate of a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament from the region.

The list of electors in the region includes 358 deputies of maslikhats.

On the day of voting, online monitoring services will be available on the Internet resource of the Central Election Commission for:

- registration of electors for the election of a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the Almaty region instead of the retired;

- the preliminary result of voting in the election of a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the Almaty region instead of the retired.
