Meeting between the Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Head of the Headquarters of the CIS Observer Mission was held

On May 21, 2022, Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdirov met with Head of the Headquarters of the CIS Observer Mission Oleg Kuleba.

The meeting was attended Secretary of the Central Referendum Commission Mukhtar Yerman, members of the Headquarters of the CIS Observer Mission Denis Varganov and Pavel Yurkevich.

During the meeting, members of the Headquarters of the CIS Observer Mission were acquainted with the plan of the main activities for the preparation and holding of the republican referendum, scheduled for June 5, 2022.

In turn, the CIS observers informed that Leonid Anfimov, First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, would head the Mission, and also noted that the Mission’s activities would be built in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on generally recognised principles and norms of international law.

It should be noted that it is the fifteenth observation mission from the Commonwealth of Independent States in Kazakhstan.
