The Central Referendum Commission adopted the third resolution on the accreditation of international observers
Today, on May 30, 2022, the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a resolution “On accreditation of observers of international organisations and foreign states for the republican referendum scheduled for June 5, 2022.”
Upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 153 observers from 8 international organisations and 11 foreign states were submitted for accreditation. They include: 30 observers accredited as part of the CIS Observers Mission, 40 observers from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA CIS), 8 observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (PA CSTO), 17 observers from the Mission of Observers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), 20 observers as part of the Referendum Observation Mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA), 4 observers – as part of the delegation of observers from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), 3 observers each from the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the International Turkic Academy, as well as 28 observers from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Great Britain, Sweden and Japan.
Thus, to date, the Central Referendum Commission has accredited 258 observers from international organisations and foreign states.
The data on observers will be updated as the submissions for accreditation received.
Accreditation of observers of international organisations and foreign states will end today at 18:00 on May 30, 2022.
