On June 4, 2022 Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission Nurlan Abdirov and members of the Central Referendum Commission had a series of meetings with international observers
On June 4, 2022 the Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Nurlan Abdirov and members of the CCR of the RK held a number of meetings with international observers.
A meeting with the chairpersons and members of 12 central electoral bodies of foreign States: Turkey, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russian Federation, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan was held.
Separate meetings were also held with representatives of the Supreme Electoral Council of the Republic of Turkey and the Central Electoral Commission of Uzbekistan.
Observers from SCO, TurkPA, IPA CIS, deputy corps of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, and State Duma took part in the meetings with representatives of international organizations.
Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the CRC RK, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of central electoral bodies of foreign countries and international organizations for their participation in monitoring the referendum.
During the meetings Nurlan Abdirov noted that the presence of international observers increases the credibility of the referendum and in many ways guarantees their openness and transparency, including the SCO - one of the most authoritative and dynamic organizations not only in the region, but also in the world at large.
IPA CIS - has a clear organizational and ramified system of coordinating interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental institutions.
The Head of the CRC RK also noted that he welcomes the expansion of interaction with the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries.
The Chairman of CRC of Kazakhstan Mr. Nurlan Abdirov and the members of CRC presented the detailed information about the preparation and conducting of the Republican Referendum on making amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is fixed for June 5, 2022.
Also members of CRC RK answered the questions of members of delegations related to campaign activities, work of commissions, participation of international observers and representatives of foreign mass media in monitoring of the referendum.
Representatives of the central electoral bodies of foreign countries and international organizations thanked the members of the CRC RK for the meeting and wished them success in holding the national referendum.
