On October 5-7, the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the
framework of the upcoming presidential elections, conducts a training course
for representatives of political parties of Kazakhstan
From October 5 to October 7, 2022, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the basis of the Centre for Electoral Education, conducts a training course “The Electoral Process in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Theory and Practice” for representatives of political parties registered in Kazakhstan.
From the Central Election Commission, the speakers include Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Konstantin Petrov, members of the Commission Sabila Mustafina, Anastassiya Schegortsova, Assylbek Smagulov, as well as staff members.
The training course is aimed at explaining to representatives of political parties the specifics of preparing and holding presidential elections, the main stages of the current electoral campaign, the organisational and legal procedures for nominating and registering candidates, state and non-state financing, in particular, work with election funds of candidates, and election campaigning.
At the workshop, representatives of political parties will be familiarised with the issues of electoral education of participants in the electoral process, the implementation of national election observation, ensuring the electoral rights of persons with disabilities, legal liability for violation of electoral legislation and novelties introduced into the Constitutional Act “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
A training on the participation of political parties in the electoral process of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be also held during the workshop.
According to the Plan for electoral education during the period of early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for November 20, 2022, earlier workshops were held for representatives of republican and regional youth organisations, the media, as well as employees of the financial services of local executive bodies.
The following workshops within the framework of the electoral campaign will be provided for employees of call-centres of the regions for work with voters, campaign headquarters of candidates, electoral lawyers, employees of local executive bodies responsible for organising and conducting elections, law enforcement and judicial authorities, prosecutors, members of precinct election commissions formed under representative offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad.
In October and November this year joint workshops of the Central Election Commission and the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan are planned for the mass media on the issues of regulating the election campaign of candidates for the President and for non-governmental organisations on the implementation of national observation of the elections.
