ANNOUNCEMENT
As of October 7, 2022, the Central Election Commission received notifications of public opinion polls from 2 legal entities with copies of documents attached:
1. “Public Opinion” Research Institution (“Kogamdyk pikir” zertteu institute);
2. “Institute for Public Policy of the AMANAT Party” Private Institution.
Information about notifications received by legal entities will be updated on the website of the Central Election Commission as they become available.
The Central Election Commission reminds that a public opinion poll may be conducted by legal entities registered in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, having at least five years of experience in conducting public opinion polls, having previously notified the Central Election Commission in writing, attaching copies of the relevant documents.
The notification sent to the Central Election Commission shall contain information about the specialists participating in the poll and having experience in this area, about the regions in which public opinion polls will be conducted, and about the methods of analysis used.
We also draw your attention to the fact that the publication of the results of public opinion polls, forecasts of election results, other research related to elections, voting in support of candidates or political parties on the Internet shall not be allowed within five days before voting day and on voting day (paragraph 9 of Art. 28 of the Constitutional Act).
These requirements of the Act apply to all types of public opinion polls related to elections conducted during the preparation and conduct of the election campaign.
