ANNOUNCEMENT

On October 7, 2022, the first organisational meeting of the Linguistic Commission was held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to establish fluency in the state language for candidates for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Linguistic Commission, formed by the Resolution of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 28, 2022 No. 72/555, includes prominent scientists in the field of philology, linguistics and literature: Adil Akhmetov, Garifolla Yessim, Zhankara Dadebayev, Gultas Kurmanbai, Dikhan Qamzabekuly, Anar Fazylzhanova.

At the meeting, the members of the commission elected a chairperson and a secretary, determined a work schedule, discussed proposals and approved the tasks of the Linguistic Commission for presidential candidates in three areas: writing, reading, and speaking. A number of other organisational issues were considered.
