On October 12, 2022, a meeting of the Linguistic Commission was held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to establish fluency of Zhumatai Aliyev in the state language.

The linguistic exam was held in three stages: writing an essay, reading an excerpt from a work of classical Kazakh literature and public speaking on a chosen topic.

After the end of the exam, the commission discussed the candidate’s answers and summed up the results.

The results of the meeting were announced by Chairman of the Linguistic Commission, Doctor of Philology, Professor Adil Akhmetov.

The written task was on the topic “Turkestan is the cradle of the Turks.” The work was judged on content, style, spelling and punctuation. In the second task, the candidate read an excerpt from the poem by Mukagali Makatayev “When swans sleep.” The third task was a public speech on the topic “Honest work is a source of fortune.”

Based on the results of the exam, the Linguistic Commission, by a majority of votes, with two abstentions, decided that candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhumatai Aliyev is fluent in the state language.
