On October 27, 2022, a regular meeting of the Young Voters Club at the Central Election Commission was held under the chairmanship of Nurlan Abdirov both offline and online. The meeting was attended by 50 people.

Chairman of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdirov provided the Club members with the specifics of the preparation and holding of the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for November 20, 2022, as well as the course of the electoral campaign. 

An active and substantive discussion took place on the importance of raising the electoral culture and youth activity in the electoral process.  

Club members shared their experience of participating in past election campaigns as candidates, proxies and national observers. In connection with the formed distrust of young people in the elections, the existing legal nihilism among some participants in the electoral process, proposals were made about the need for systematic work of the Central Election Commission with the young electorate in the educational and outreach direction. At the same time, the majority noted the positive experience of workshops for representatives of youth organisations, political parties, held by the Central Election Commission within the current electoral campaign. 

In connection with the presidential elections, proposals were made to ensure the transparency of the electoral process, respect for the rights of national observers, as well as the modernisation of information and communication work aimed at the young component of the electorate. 

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission called on the Club members to fruitful cooperation and dialogue, as well as to exercise their constitutional right to vote, make their choice on November 20, 2022.
