As of 19.00 today, 13 precinct referendum commissions abroad have completed their work, and more than 7,358 citizens of Kazakhstan have voted (a turnout of 59.79%).
60 polling stations are still in operation, particularly in countries of Central Asia, the Near and Middle East, Europe, South America, and the United States. One additional polling station in the city of San Francisco will open at 20.00 Astana time.
I would like to remind that 74 precinct referendum commissions, with a total of 12,307 registered voters, have been established in the foreign offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 59 countries.
Today, in Astana, a series of briefings were held with the participation of observers from international organizations such as the SCO, OTS and CICA at the Center for Assistance to International Observers.
The heads of the missions noted that the republican referendum is being conducted in accordance with the current legislation and international obligations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In their view, the referendum is open, free, and legitimate, with no violations detected at any polling stations.
Moreover, the international observers specifically highlighted the high turnout of our voters.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that more than 200 foreign journalists are covering the referendum.
