Working Visit of CEC Members to Kyzylzhar District,
North Kazakhstan Region
On July 30-31, 2025, members of the Central Election Commission Azamat Aymanakumov and Mikhail Bortnik visited Kyzylzhar District of the North Kazakhstan Region to inspect the preparations for the election of the Akim of Kyzylzhar District, scheduled for August 10, 2025, and to organize training and outreach activities for territorial and precinct election commissions.
A total of 55 election commissions are involved in the campaign – two territorial and 53 precinct commissions.
The CEC representatives visited polling stations No. 269, 664, 274, 295, 278, 316, and 318 in Kyzylzhar District to review their material and technical readiness and the preparedness of commissions for the election.
Members of the Central Election Commission focused on the material and technical equipment of polling stations, the proper completion of relevant documentation, compliance with legal norms, and the maintenance of order.
During meetings with members of the territorial and precinct election commissions, Azamat Aymanakumov and Mikhail Bortnik emphasized the importance of continuously improving the professional qualifications of election commission members and strengthening interaction with voters.
It was also noted that the Central Election Commission closely monitors the quality of work at each territorial and precinct election commission.
As part of the visit, testing was conducted for commission members on key areas of their work, including electoral legislation; main functions and responsibilities of election commissions; skills in handling electoral documentation; interaction with voters, observers, and media representatives.
Following the testing, a seminar was held for members of territorial and precinct election commissions. Participants discussed case studies aimed at ensuring the high-quality organization of the electoral process and exchanged views.
Under the chairmanship of CEC member Mikhail Bortnik, a meeting was held with representatives of regional and district local executive bodies, the prosecutor’s office, the police department, the employment and social programs department, and territorial election commissions.
The meeting addressed measures for election preparation, strengthening cooperation among election process participants, and ensuring strict compliance with electoral legislation.
Special attention was given to the need for government bodies to create conditions that enable citizens to fully exercise their electoral rights during the campaign.
The meeting also discussed current issues related to infrastructure readiness, security and public order, and information support for the elections.
